Dog Games is sponsoring a Photographic Competition in aid of Tailwaggers Club Trust. Why not support this very worthwhile cause and you may win some of our Gift Vouchers and have your photo published in the Dogs Today Magazine. We have also updated our Beginners Steeplechase Challenge web page. This is based around a simple jumping class which Dog Games sponsors to encourage handlers and dogs who are starting to compete in the dog sport of agility. There are no weaves or contacts - just jumps and tunnels. |
| Dec 08 | I have just done a day course on Canine First Aid and highly recommend it to all our readers. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to help your dog in those vital minutes after an injury or accident, stabilising the situation before taking it to the vet. |
| Sept 08 | I have now updated our Links page, which has many helpful web sites we recommend that you visit |
| July 08 | Poison Alert - Please read |
| May 08 | The results of the heats for the Dog Games Beginners Steeplechase Challenge are now listed in the Agility section of our web site. Congratualtions to all the qualifiers (who each recieved gift vouchers for our web shop) and we look forward to seeing as many UKA handlers and dogs as possible at the Finals on the 23 & 24 August. The general public is more than welcome to come along and watch and perhaps pick up some tips on how to begin Agility so that they can enter their dogs in the 2009 Heats. |
| April 08 | Many thanks for all the kind comments you are sending in - they are very much appreciated! Among these comments is an inspirational account from the United States, "Precious' Story - Was it a Miracle?" |
| Feb 08 | Our Wholesale web site is now live and we welcome enquiries from retailers about our Fleece Lined Products. |
| Dec 07 |
OH44708DONOVIN is the very first dog to achieve a Platinum award in the United States - Congratulations to Libby and all the handlers and dogs at Noah's Bark, Canton, Ohio for achieving so much so quickly in Dog Games. You are all obviously having lots of fun with your dogs :-) Also - here is some very special reading for all dog owners - Words of Comfort |
| Nov 07 | Following on from above, Di Gorton has very kindly written about Pickle, her terrier, who sustained damage to her eye due to pressure from wearing a collar. |
| Oct 07 | Our Harness web page has been updated to explain some of the reasons why dogs should walk on a harness rather than a collar, and includes a plea by Veterinary Eye Specialists not to walk dogs on collars (especially if the dog pulls on the lead). |
